Statement of Faith

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of all people, and the divine and final authority for the Christian faith and life.

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, immutable, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity. He eternally existed, possessing all the divine characteristics. We believe that in the incarnation (God becoming man), having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and virgin born, Jesus accepted all the essential characteristics of humanity and became the God-man. We believe in the sacrificial blood atonement of Jesus Christ, his death on the cross for our sins and his bodily resurrection; he ascended to heaven and is at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, the third person of the Trinity, equal with the Father and the Son and possesses all the qualities of personality and deity. The Holy Spirit’s work is found in creation, the incarnation, revelation and the work of salvation. We believe the Holy Spirit came from the Father as promised by Jesus Christ to start and complete the building of the body of Christ – the Church which includes convicting the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, glorifying the Lord Jesus, indwelling and transforming believers into the image of Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit is sovereign in giving spiritual gifts to all believers.

We believe man was created in the image of God but fell into sin through Adam’s act of disobedience. Man lost his innocence, received the penalty of spiritual and physical death, and must face the judgment of separation from God. All people have been corrupted through Adam, except Jesus Christ. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ is the only way a person can be saved from sin and eternal judgment in hell.

We believe the Church is composed of all who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated (born again) by the Holy Spirit and are united in the Body of Christ universal as Jesus himself being the Head.

We believe in the personal, bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
